Six of my images shot in 2007 have been chosen, along with an interview to be published in a Coffee Table Book called: “Hijacked- New American and Australian Photography.” There is an Exhibition in Australia that will accompany the book-launch. The Exhibition will be part Foto Freo in the City of Fremantle Photography Festival 2008:

Paul at Paul Kopeikin Gallery has asked me to present my work in a series of online exhibitions he will have on his website while he finds a new location for his Gallery. He described to me that my work will be advertised and displayed as a Virtual Gallery, different then other content on his site: http://www.PaulKopeikinGallery.com. Waiting to hear from him about more details…
I applied for Review Santa Fe this year and was selected to participate. I will be traveling to Centre in Santa Fe to meet Reviewers and other photographers at the beginning of June: http://www.visitcenter.org
Yeay! good news. I got signed with my top choice gallery that I visited on my trip to Berlin this past December. I visited tons of galleries when there, had meetings with 4 of them, but wanted this one the most. We have just signed a contract together and Caprice Horn will now be my Primary Gallerist. I’ll be in her next group show in May as well as be included in several upcoming international Art Fairs (Chicago and Moscow are the soonest ones). All print sales will now be made though the gallery. You can visit Caprice Horn Gallery by clicking here: http://www.capricehorn.com
Earlier today, I was video interviewed for a PodCast (if I understand correctly) as one one of several artist documentaries that will be handed out to Exhibition goers on iPods as they enter my show opening in Sydney Australia next week. The exhibition is at The Australian Centre for Photography and is part of Foto Freo (http://www.fotofreo.com). It is the first of several international group Exhibitions and Book Launches to come showcasing the photographers included Big City Press’s new coffee table book called Hijacked: New Australian and American Photography. The first run of the book has sold out and soon it will have a second run of copies printed. If you are interested in a copy, let me know, and I will put you in touch with the right person. I love the other photographers in the book- great mix of wildly observant personalities. To Download pdf invite, go here: http://www.bigcitypress.com.au
COME this Saturday, TOMORROW– Humble’s Under 31 Show was a success and is still currently on display at 3rd Ward. The reason I mention this again is because there is a Panel that I will be speaking on this Saturday, March 22nd in affiliation with this show. The Panel will be moderated by Amy Stein and I will be speaking with 4 other women photographers: Rachel Dunville, Tema Stauffer, Cara Phillips, and Mary Mattingly. The general theme of the Discussion is Women Photographers in the Fine Art World. Location is 3rd Ward. Time is 6-8pm. Address is 195 Morgan Ave. See 3rd Ward website for directions: http://www.3rdward.com.
See Amy Stein’s website for details: http://amysteinphoto.blogspot.com/search/label/Panel
Come heckle me!
Under 31 is also being promoted today on Flak Photo and Molly and EllyMay is the site’s featured picture today:
Here is a rather strange picture from last weekend. A rather simple image of just one subject on glass. I spent today looking at it, so thought i’d share.

See my website if you haven’t for a while and want to see the new images I have up.
A couple random tidbits on upcoming shoots and ideas: one lady who will model for me soon has the longest fingernails I have ever seen… ever. Another exciting piece of news is that a theatrical makeup artist called me out of the blue and wants to work on some projects together. She specializes in Character makeup: prosthetic application, aging techniques, cuts, burns, fantasy etc… ideas have been buzzing ever since her call. Got a sexy shoot coming up involving 3 sets of legs dangling around Cellist, Jan Vogler, for Cover of his upcoming Sony produced Tango album... it should be an outrageous album- The musicians on the record are world class. I was so impressed hearing them play these Tangos at the NY Yacht Club last week- such heart and such fine precision at once.
The sad news is that my most wonderful friend and fabulous Printer, April Renae, has moved her business to San Fransico. She will be relaunching her business in SF shortly under the name Dogleaf Studios. We will continue to send tests back and forth coast to coast to keep printing together. I will send word when her business is set up and ready for more clients. I HIGHLY recommend April for anyone looking for an obsessively detail focused, color genius, sweetheart custom Printer. Her new website will be available shortly.
